Air New Zealand adds Tokyo Shanghai flights

first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J Tapping into Asia’s growing tourism market, Air New Zealand has announced increased services into Tokyo and Shanghai.Commencing this month, the carrier will fly daily return services to Shanghai for the first time since launching flights on the route in 2006 as well as resume daily return flights between Auckland and Tokyo for the first time in three years.Air New Zealand deputy chief executive Norm Thompson said the resumption of daily flights into Japan would support the routes strong recovery after traffic was impacted by 2011’s Japan and Christchurch earthquakes.  Meanwhile, daily flights between New Zealand and Shanghai are expected to boost capacity from New Zealand’s second largest inbound tourism market in China.
