Isobel Pravda & Saul Reichlin Will Star in The Good and the True Off-Broadway

first_img The Good and The True Written by Daniel Hrbek, Tomas Hrbek and Lucie Kolouchova, and adapted as an English language version by Brian Daniels, the play intertwines the true testimonies of two extraordinary people—Czech athlete Milos Dobry and actress Hana Pravda. They both spent their working lives building suspense, knocking crowds into submission and drawing gasps and acclaim from spectators—but this pales in significance compared to their earlier lives enduring the indignities of incarceration and survival at the hands of occupied Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. Related Shows Pravda is the real granddaughter of Hana Pravda; she played her grandmother for the first time on stage last year in the UK. Reichlin’s one man play Sholom Aleichem: Now You’re Talking! has been performed in the West End, in New York and in several countries throughout Europe. The Good and the True, starring Isobel Pravda and Saul Reichlin, will have its American premiere off-Broadway. Directed by Daniel Hrbek, the limited engagement will begin July 24 and officially open on August 3 at the DR2 Theatre.center_img The production features scenic design and costume design by Daniel Hrbek, lighting design by Karel Simek and sound design by Martin Hejl.
